What are Online Games exactly? Which are the Best Online Games for PC? In the below blog post I shall share my personal view regarding this topic.
What types of Best Online Games for PC are there?
More or less I would divided them into following categories:
- First-person Shooters – FPS
- Real Time Strategy – RTS
- Multiplayer Online Battle Arena – MOBA
- Massively Multiplayer Online – MMO
- Online Racing
- Online Co-op Games
What is a First Person Shooter or FPS? – The most action filled best online games for PC
I would consider First Person Shooters to be some of The Best Online Games for PC. These games are always fun and full of action. Some examples would be Counter-Strike, Halo, Call of Duty, Battlefield series and so forth, furthermore lately a sub category has come into view, category called Hero Shooters. Examples in this category would be Battleborn, Overwatch.
All in all FPS games are games where different number of people run around in 2 different teams or separately and try to survive the longest. Personally I like Battlefield series the most however I do play other games from time to time as well.
In my view the Best First Person Shooter games are:
- Battlefield: Bad Company 2
- Battlefield 4
What is a Real Time Strategy or RTS?
Real Time Strategy games is also a fun category. A lot of e-sports activity happens in this category. Games such as Starcraft, Company of Heroes 2, Warcraft III are some examples and as far as I know the most played game is Starcraft II. All in all RTS games are games where 2 or more sides play against each other and the player with the best strategy and skill usually wins.
In my view the Best Real Time Strategy games are:
- Starcraft II
- Warcraft III
- Company of Heroes 2
What is Multiplayer Online Battle Arena or MOBA?
Multiplayer Online Battle Arena is technically a sub category of Strategy game although it is different enough to have it’s own category. Best examples in this category are Dota 2, Leage of Legends, Heroes of the Storm however as personally I am not a big fan of this category I will let you choose yourself, which of these feels the best for you.
What is Massive Multiplayer Online or MMO? – These are some of the Best online games for PC
Now this category is one of the Best Online Games for PC category. However I do have to mention that this category actually consists of many sub categories such as MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game), MMORTS (Massive Multiplayer Online Real Time Strategy), MMOFPS (Massive Multiplayer Online First Person Shooter), MMOSG (Massive Multiplayer Social Game) also MMOR (Massive multiplayer Online Racing) and also MMOS (Massive Multiplayer Online Survivals) or just online survival games.
Some of the examples in these categories are:
- World of Warcraft
- Star Wars: The old Republic
- Blitzkrieg
- Age of Empires Online
- Hellgate London
- Rust
- Need For Speed: World
- Forza Horizon 3
- Grand Theft Auto 5
- Second Life
In my view the best MMO‘s are:

- Forza Horizon 3
- Grand Theft Auto 5
What are Online Co-op games? – These are THE best online games for PC!
This is one of my favourite categories although I did not fancy it too much in the beginning I have grown to love it. Firstly I like this category as it is just awesome to work towards mutual goal while helping one another. Secondly it is really fun to just fool around with your friends and lastly npc can never have your 6 as good as your friend does and if they fail, you can curse them directly 😀
